more about Meghan…

Meghan Jenkins

INDEPENDENT EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

Meghan’s passion for education developed while volunteering with elementary school students during her undergraduate years at the College of the Holy Cross.

This is where she found her passion — working one-on-one with students to individualize and propel their learning.

After completing her Masters in Education in Language and Literacy at Harvard Graduate School of Education, she became a middle school teacher in Reading and English Language Arts.

In 2016, she joined a newly established ballet conservatory where she provides academic mentorship for pre-professional ballet dancers.

Her experience working with such talented young people, inspired by their motivation and dedication, has elevated her compassion for the performing arts alongside her expertise in individualizing learning and college planning for all students.

“Students will succeed when they are prepared with the appropriate tools and confidence to take control of their academic and personal growth.”

Working with and tutoring private clients for over 20 years now, Meghan believes in a calm approach to building relationships with foundations of mutual trust and respect.

Her enduring philosophy on education and college planning is that students will succeed when they are prepared with the appropriate tools and confidence to take control of their academic and personal growth. Students excel when they are encouraged and mentored through dedicated periods of self-reflection — engineered to highlight their gifts and interests, articulate their values, and enroll in the college that best aligns with their future plans.

Meghan holds a Certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California, Irvine, and is an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). Jenkins College Coaching is based in Melrose, Massachusetts, and services students across the United States.
